Taking a break tonight...

Because my beloved boys in blue are playing tonight. I'm a KU fan and we've got an important game tonight, so I apologize, but there will be no posts today/tonight. I will, however, leave you with this image of my eye makeup today so that you understand how serious I am about my Jayhawks. Love you guys, thanks for reading and more posts will be up this weekend!

Everyday Look Twisted : Tutorial

Let me clarify what I mean by an everyday look twisted; an everyday look is generally very laid back and simple to do but this look, while very simple looking, takes a bit longer and is a bit more spruced up. It can definitely pass as something minimal, but it's much more polished than what I would do everyday. Keep ready to find out more about this look and how to achieve it.

Revlon Baby Sticks : Product Review

You guys should realize by now that I have a fairly deep seeded love affair with Revlon. I love their lip products, I love their foundations (except for the BB cream fiasco), and I have never truly been so disappointed by anything Revlon has made. The Baby Sticks are pretty much promoted as a cheek and lip tint without saying so directly on the packaging, but they have a striking resemblance to many other cheek/lip tint products, like those produced by Tarte. Keep reading to find out why these are so horrible.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss : Killer Watt

Alright... I am really guilty of this, but I can't help that the cosmetics companies do this. This product review is another limited edition product, but the LE shades are always the best ones. Regardless, I know that these glosses are still in stores since I've seen them all over the place. This particular gloss belongs to the Nude Tips, Neon Lips collection from Revlon. Overall though, this review can really speak to the entire colorburst lip gloss line. Keep reading for more!

Tokidoki Cromatico Eye Shadow Set : Product Review

Before I start this review, I want to let you know, first and foremost, that this item is on sale at Sephora.com because it's going to be discontinued. It's $29 for all 6 shadows, so if you read this and think that you might want it, just buy it. You can always return it later, but buy it now. Ok, now that this information is out of the way, I can proceed. I saw that this set was on sale at Sephora and I own several Tokidoki palettes, so I decided to pick this set up. It does not disappoint, continue reading to find out why.

Spring Lip Colors : Real Talk

It's finally spring! While it doesn't really feel like it here (we have snow in the forecast for the next four days, hooray...), it means that bright lip colors are on the horizon and that makes me happy. This is just a quick guide to some of my favorite bright and more subdued spring lip colors. I have glosses, sheer lip colors, and lipsticks, so there's something for everyone. Keep reading to see some of my picks!

Easy Green Smoky Eye: Tutorial

I am a youtube addict. I am subscribed to a ton of beauty channels on there and I just thoroughly enjoy watching people apply and talk about makeup... obviously. One of my favorite tutorial channels is Pixiwoo (you can go there channel by clicking here) and the two women who run it, Sam and Nic, are actual makeup artists and really know what they're doing. I saw a video about a year ago on a very simple smoky eye and I've decided to recreate it for you here. If you'd like to see how to get this eye look, keep reading!

Subscription Services : Real Talk

Well friends and readers, it's about time I do another subscription service post. I think that I may continue to do this monthly to give you an idea of what each month entails when you have a beauty subscription service. In this post, I'm going to talk about three boxes: Birchbox, Ipsy, and Starlooks and I'm also going to tell you about two boxes that I cancelled. Keep reading to see what I got and if you might be interested in one of these subscription services!

3 tips for Emerald Eyes : How-to

Chances are, you've heard that emerald green in Pantone's color of the year. However, I doubt that everyone who reads this blog knows that starting last year, Sephora releases a line of cosmetics that follows Pantone's color trends. Last year it was Tangerine Tango and this year it's Emerald Green. While tangerine was a fairly easy color to work into all facets of your makeup, green is much harder. You can obviously wear your makeup however you please, but it's not an every day occurrence to see someone with green lipstick or blush. Keep reading to see three ways to work this emerald liner into an everyday look.

3D Nail Strips : Product Review

(photo property of J. Cat Beauty)

Nail wraps. In theory, so easy and the perfect way to do nail art without actually having to do nail art. However, if you're anything like me, you've run into some hiccups along the way with nail strips. For me, I've found that I can't ever get them to stick to my nails, which upon further investigation might be my own fault, but I still find them alluring. In fact, I have several boxes of nail strips sitting in my room waiting to be used. When I received these nail strips from J. Cat beauty, I proceeded with caution. Keep reading to find out what I thought of them.

Everyone, it has been a hot minute since I've posted a tutorial and I only realized it when I started to edit the pictures from this one. Regardless, I have a tutorial for you now and though I'm just showing you the eyes as a teaser, this is a full face tutorial using some products I've reviewed and some products you guys have never seen from me. Keep reading to see how to get this green and gold look!

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream : Product Review

Remember when I reviewed the Revlon BB cream, I went on about how it wasn't a true BB cream and this and that? Well, I thought it time to review a real BB cream for you! This is the Perfect Cover BB Cream from Missha. Missha is a Korean makeup brand and I actually picked this BB cream up as a free gift with purchase. Does this BB deliver on all of the claims that makes? Keep reading to find out!

Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lipstick : Regrets

I had read some bad reviews of this product, but I needed to try it out for myself and... now I wish I hadn't. I did get this for $1.99, so it's not a big loss of money that I'm mourning, it's the texture of my lips that I mourn. There are many reasons why this lipstick is being dubbed as an "epic" fail, so keep reading to find out why.
